Luther and Today's Politics

Student Ministry presents:

Luther and Today's Politics

Luther lived in political times that combined church, politics, and personal ambitions.  Not only were individuals ambitious with God, but within their political structures and the class-oriented structure of mediaeval society.  And in this complicated mix, the monk Luther preached a Gospel of Grace and how no person could justify themselves before God.

Presentation by Dr. Jarrett Carty from the theology department of Concordia University.

Services at 9:30 a.m. (German) and 11 a.m. (English) followed by a simple lunch.

Presentation to begin around 12:30 p.m.  Discussion until 2 p.m.
