The student ministry at St. John's is run in conjunction with the Lutheran Student Movement and the Lutheran Chaplaincy of McGill and Concordia Universities.

Students had been gathering informally after the English service in the Parish hall until in-person restrictions for COVID-19 came into effect in spring of 2020.

Student Ministry is supported by the Youth and Young Adults grants of the Eastern Synod, ELCIC. Funds were used to support students as needed during pandemic times.
